John Daly
John Patrick Daly is a seasoned golfer within the PGA Tour. John Daly
was born on April 28, 1966 in Carmichael, California. John is best known for
his charismatic demeanor and his "grip it and rip it" style of golf. Daly, the Tour's longest driver
has the kind of lighthearted approach to the game that many more of us should have. In one recent 'Skins'
game, Daly teed his ball up on a pencil and drove with his putter. Daly attended the University of Arkansas
where he perfected his game. He turned professional in 1987. His first victory took place in international play in 1990
at the AECI Charity Classic. John made a substantial mark in 1990 winning one of the Nike Tour tournaments (Utah Classic).
Other tournaments that Daly has won include the PGA Championship in 1991, one of the most prestigious tournaments of the golfing season.
He also won the B.C. Open in 1992, the Bellsouth Classic in 1994 and the British Open in 1995. John lives with his wife Paulette and two
children Shynah Hale and Sierra Lynn. Daly's interests include, along with golf, most other sports.
